As it is one of the things I want to create, here is my first attempt at making a water feature. Simply it is a brass tea pot on a single leg, with a ring at the bottom. The ring is bent from one piece of 22mm, and joined with a socket made into one end and soldered. The cross piece has 2 reducers (22mm to 15mm), to fix into a hole in each inside of the ring, and a T piece in the middle that rises to the tea pot at the top. A drain cock at the back is then soldered into a hole, also used as the inlet from a pump.
I hope to show and keep a record of my progress into the world of decorative features for home and garden.

- A bit about myself. Hi, as you may have gathered my name is David and, this is my first blog. I am a fiftymmmmph year old bloke from the Smalley area of Derbyshire. Of late I have been unwell with depression and my therapist suggested that I take up a hobby as one aid to my recovery. Some years ago I did a plumbing course but never got taken on in any firm to continue with the more practical side and hands on experience. So as I know a little about soldering copper pipe and how to use a set of pipe benders why not put them to good use and try my hand at making decorative features.
